August.

It was really a bit of a washout, and probably one to forget. It might have meant you had more time online than in a sunny August, and these were the things you were thinking about as you came to Problem Presents:

The Tefal Electric Jam Maker - no 1 item in August1) It was all about the Tefal Electric Jam Maker. Lots of us got very excited about this, and I can imagine there are jars and jars of jam being lined up across the country. This should be a great time for the jam makers, with raspberries and strawberries followed by the blackberries, but after the appalling summer, who knows what the harvests will be like? Good job it’s got a rice pudding setting then!

2) Some of you were desperate to get your hands on Fit Flops in August. Given how many great new colours were around this year, it’s no surprise. And multi-tasking getting in shape whilst walking has to be a good thing!

3) A lot of you had bargain hunting in mind, particularly over the Bank Holiday. Lets face it, what else was there to do? The Joules sale appeared to be the most popular.

4) I feel sorry for anyone who had planned a wedding in August, as I guess there was a Just one of our honeymoon gift suggestionshigh chance that it rained. Perhaps that’s why everyone was looking for honeymoon gifts. We’ve got a guide to some great ones, and we hope everyone who gets a honeymoon gift enjoyed their big day regardless of the weather. It rained on our wedding day, except no one can remember due to the large amounts of bubbly consumed.

5) There were obviously a few of you on the move on the job front, with new job presents being a top request. We’ve got guides for him and for her, and also a blog entry on what to buy someone if they’ve just become Mayor of London. But I don’t think even after the slightly shambolic appearance at the Closing Ceremony that that particular job is vacant at the moment.

6) There were lots of new dads around, and you were looking for suitable presents to give Great personalised gifts for a new dadthem to celebrate this big moment. Check out our guide for some ideas. We particularly love the Double Fingerprint Cufflinks from Button & Bean. Apparently, receiving these is known to make a grown man cry!

7) Those difficult people were still troubling you on the gift buying front! Lots of new suggestions around from us, check out the top ten sites for Christmas, updated ready for this year.

8) Unsurprisingly, a lot of you were looking for wellies! Funky wellies, Joules printed Ilse Jacobsen wellies, wellies of choice for lots of youwellies, Tayberry wellies and lots of you wanted Ilse Jacobsen wellies. And who can blame you? They are gorgeous!

9) The Gene Genie was still your favourite man on the t shirts front. Oh yes, Gene Hunt is still the man! But then we always knew that!

10) As usual, there were lots of you looking for wedding anniversary presents. Whether year 3, year 13 or year 30, we’ve got ideas for you! Although for the person who wanted to know if you had to send an anniversary present every year, well all I can say is if you want to live dangerously then try not sending one one year. That should give you your answer!

So, roll on September. Back to school, cooler days and nights. And maybe, just maybe, it might stop raining!
